The quality and mix balance are spot‑on, with hearty black oil sunflower and safflower kernels that birds clearly prefer. Durability and breakability are good; the seeds aren’t overly dusty or crushed, so less mess under the feeder. The size of the mix keeps feeders full and there’s been no noticeable moisture or leakage issues in my storage. Overall functionality is exactly what backyard bird lovers want, and the birds’ enthusiastic response suggests a mix they genuinely enjoy.
These look good enough to eat. Too bad the warning label says it's only for wild birds, although I do wonder what makes them unsuitable for domesticated birds? Anyways they come vacuum sealed and smell nice and fresh when you open them. The ziplock closure makes it easy to keep them fresh between feeder refills.Outside the birds and squirrels love them. I really like that the lack of fillers makes the chances of volunteer plants and weeds much less likely (other than sunflowers of course). Overall, I'm happy with these seeds as are the little visitors to my yard.
I get many different kinds of birds to my feeder here in the northeast, including blue jays, a few cardinals, and a lot of chickadees. I like to provide the birds with a variety of food, including seeds, suet, and fruit. This brand is more expensive than other products I use, but I love that it's made in the USA and sourced from trusted seed producers, so I don't mind paying a bit more to support these companies. And I like that there are no fillers; it's pure quality, high-nutrition seeds. I just put some in my feeder and the birds are already flocking to it. (I tried to get a good photo, but all but one flew away!) My only issue is the price -- I get a lot of birds, and as we know, they eat a lot, so I'll still need to mix in some of the less expensive seeds to keep my birds satisfied without breaking the bank.

First of all, I love how this is packaged. It is extremely vacuum tight for shipping purposes, which makes me feel good about how well it is naturally preserved. The plastic bag is pretty durable and features a reclosable press-and-seal zipper lock, which I appreciate because I store my bird seed outside.The birds seem to love it. It's a good mixture of sunflower and safflower seeds. I got a pair of finches getting seed from my window feeder within the first day of putting it out. And if they're loving it then so too do I.
I tested this bird seed in a few different setups around my backyard bird oasis. I used a tube feeder, a hopper feeder, and a small ground plate. I mainly get finches in my area, but after putting this mix out, I started seeing some larger birds stop by as well, which was a nice surprise.The birds clearly like it across all feeder types, and the seed itself looks clean and high quality straight out of the bag. I also appreciate that this is a millet-free blend, since it seems to reduce waste and actually gets eaten instead of scattered.A couple of practical details really stood out to me - The bag has a zip-lock style closure (many bird seed bags surprisingly don’t), making storage much easier, and it’s made in the USA, which gives me confidence it’s coming from a licensed, food-safe facility.Overall, this has been a great addition to my feeders and has noticeably increased bird activity.

I was using mostly cracked corn and few birds. Now I have gold finch, purple finch, Baltimore oriole, mourning doves, cardinals and blue jays.

This is a really nice bird seed. With just sunflower seeds and kernels and safflower seeds, there is no waste like you get with seed packages that include millet or other “less desirable” choices.It does come in a decent sized resealable bag so it will stay fresh - I expect to go through it well before this would even hint at getting stale, and is easy to manage.The birds love it which is the most important thing. The squirrels love it too so this can turn out to be a really pricey option…
My backyard birds are loving this seed mix! It’s really effective at getting bird species to the feeder: pine warblers, chickadees, finches, avian woodpeckers. They love the taste of black oil sunflower seeds and sunflower seeds are one of the best nutrition sources for all bird species, keeping them happy and healthy. I appreciate the addition of safflower seed; it seems to cut squirrel activity at the feeders a little bit. The mix is also good quality: no twigs or sticks in this bag! The only downside is the cost; there are similar blends available at much more competitive price.
